Icy Outdoor Play

On our walk around the garden today we found everything had turned to ice! Theo pointed to the spade and Fearne tried to pick it up. When we carefully moved the spade we saw it had left a print in the ice in the shape of a spade!

We decided to look around the garden and find different shapes and frozen solid items.

  • Barrel Pond
  • Bird Bath
  • Bucket
  • Small Pond
  • Fountain
  • Poppy Bird Feeder

While we were looking for frozen areas around the garden, Fearne found:

  • Periwinkle
  • Hyacinth Shoots
  • A Purple Crocus

Theo copied Fearne, looking around and found:

  • Primrose
  • Hellebore
  • Snowdrop
  • Daffodils

Its lovely to find winter treasures in our garden! What have you got growing or freezing in your garden this winter?

Dinosaur Small World Play

Ivor loves to play with the Dinosaurs, especially the big ones! He kept getting upset because the seedlings wanted to play but not how he was playing.

Tracie suggested that he move them to a different place so he could play quietly but leave some for the little seedlings to play with.

Ivor decided outdoors on the decking would be a good place. Tracie moved a tuff tray into an area and gave Ivor some materials to build a setting. Ivor loved this and played for hours.
