The children all enjoyed our ‘Harry and The Dinosaurs’ themed story sack today.
Used The Dinosaurs to Count
Role Play
Alfie’s Favourite
Alfie asked Tracie to read the story, which made Martha want to draw a dinosaur.
Everyone ended up wanting to join in the activity so Tracie got out the story sack with all the card dinosaur printables in so everyone could choose which one they wanted to do. Our story sack with activities is available to buy on our Etsy Shop along with lots of other story sacks for your children to learn and grow.

Poppy asked if Tracie could read the story while they coloured the fabulous pictures.
Story time
At the back of the book it showed the different types of dinosaurs and how to say all the tricky names. Do-you-think-he-saw-us made everyone laugh except Poppy who thought Tracie was silly 😝

The weather turned too cold and wet for a couple of days. We went to the park on the Monday and got drenched so we all decided to have a games day. The sun ended up coming back out!!
What Am I?Am I Sweet?
We loved the game ‘Fast Fish’ it was fun rolling the dice and predicting the colours of the fish we had to rush and find. Jack beat Tracie and Martha beat everyone!

Emma went on a trip to Hollywood Bowl. They all jumped on a bus, played a couple of games and had a lovely lunch! What a lovely fun end to a busy second week!
Wonder what fun we will have in week three!? The summer holidays are going fast!
All the Seedlings enjoyed making Kindness Rocks over the last term. The older children asked if they could paint some over the summer holidays as they didn’t get a chance because they were at school.
Georgia JackSophie Working Hard
We thought it would be good to extend the activity by using clay to make the shapes to paint.
MasonAlfieJacy
First we had to kneed the clay to make it malleable to roll out. Then they chose a cutter and pressed it into the clay to make the shape. It was then laid out on some card ready to dry.
We had to leave them overnight again as they hadn’t completely dried out.
Painted Rocks
The children worked hard to paint the clay rocks ready to hide.

We have had a lovely day today playing in the garden and going to Breckside Park.

Sophie looked at all the flowers and asked me to take photos of her favourites.

Mason wanted to make a snail home using different items from around the garden. Jacy and Jack loved the idea and made their own. They asked me to choose my favourites. I explained they were all lovely and the snail will judge by going on the one it likes best.

Such Good Behaviour
The younger children enjoyed a kick about, quoits and catch the ball in the net. They ran about so much all they wanted was the pram, bottle and sleep. Job well done!

The bigger children set up the goal posts and had a kick about trying to see who could get the most goals. After about 2 hours and lots of sweat, tears and moans we decided to go back and have a cold drink and ice lolly’s. Four very over heated children!!
We have had a ball this week, the sun has been out every day and the children have all been so good!
So Tired!Izzy’s First Day
Alfie was so tired one day he was nearly asleep while playing! Izzy had her first day with us and she was such a little giggler, her favourite play was jumping up and down in the activity centre.

Tracie is so relieved it’s Friday, we have had an eventful week but now time for a few days rest, then it all starts again!
This week we have two new starters in the Little Seedlings.
Welcome Edie
Adorable
This is Edie and she is such a cutie, she settled straight in with no problems at all. She loves cuddles and enjoyed all the other Seedlings wanting to play with her.
Hand Print
Funny Faces
Edie’s first activity was to make her daddy a Father’s day card. Emma painted her hands to make prints. Edie loves attention and having her photo taken. Tracie made funny faces and Edie copied.

This is our Jack, my grandson. His mummy went beck to work this week so he now comes to join all the fun with the Little Seedlings.
What an amazing week all the children have had for half term! We have been so busy going wild the week went way too quickly and the Wonderers and Rangers are now back in school!
Chloe and Tracie on a Bike Adventure
Tracie took Chloe on a wild bike ride all around Croxteth Park. We saw some amazing cows, ducks, horses and squirrels. We went up and down bridges, over a cattle bridge, through the trees and along the very bumpy winding paths. By the time we got back to the car we had cycled 5 miles! Lets hope Chloe slept well for her mum and dad that night!?
Poppy and the Baby Bird
One morning while Tracie was putting the washing on the line one of the cats had this baby bird in its mouth. Poppy got upset but luckily we were able to take the bird gently from the cat. We very carefully checked over the bird and decided to put it on the bird feeding table so it’s mummy would find him.

The Seedlings and Martha from the Rangers went on another Liverpool Kindness Rock hunt. Tracie also asked them to look out for mini beasts and wildlife.
Swift
When we were all hunting in the rose garden Georgia called out to say she found a bird. Tracie identified it as a Swift as it had a short forked tail, appears black in flight and crescent (like the moon) shaped wings.
On Tuesday, in the park, we saw the gardeners all working hard to make the flower beds pretty. Tracie noticed they were throwing the empty flower trays to one side. We went over to do some investigating. Wonder what they would do with them?
Martha decided to ask the Gardeners if they reuse them? The gardeners said no! Well that’s not good! Tracie asked if we could take them? We can use some for potting on our growing seedlings and recycle the ones we don’t use. The gardeners were happy for us to take them off their hands.

What a first week of our 30 Days Going Wild, we have had a fun-packed time! Wow it’s exhausting writing the blog we’ve done so much! I wonder what exciting Wild days we will have next week?
Phyllis has been working hard in her Garden and all the plants are growing well.

The nets Phyllis has had to put up isn’t to stop the birds and pests, its to protect the crops from Hebe the cat!

What a pickle Hebe is! Everywhere Phyllis is, Hebe’s not far away causing mayhem!
All looking Lush and Green
All the vegetables are looking lush and growing big and strong. Phyllis has to keep mowing the grass to make it look nice and tidy.
Raspberry
Strawberry Planter
The fruit is coming along too! There will be lovely ripe strawberries to pick and eat, they will go well with scones and cream in June! Something for us to look forward too!
Mind you that’s if they actually get to the kitchen! I know a few Treasures who like to pick and eat them before Phyllis gets a chance!!
Frank has made a Tomato planter in the greenhouse, Phyllis has planted the tomato plants the seedlings have grown for her, there are cucumbers growing too! All you need is onions and you have a salad!
Lemon Basil
Phyllis has also got lots of lovely colourful flowers around her garden to encourage the bees and butterflies. She has sent me pictures of them, below are my favourite ones. I bet they smell amazing.
The Seedlings went into Tracie’s garden to find some rocks to paint. (Don’t tell Tracie!) Sophie found a big rockery stone and wanted to paint a sunflower, unfortunately nobody could pick it up!
Emma set the table ready to make their pretty stones. Emma suggested they make them into ladybirds as we love our story sack ‘What the Ladybird Heard’, the seedlings all got excited and screamed yeah!!
Georgia
Fearne
Sophie
The girls worked really hard and the ladybirds looked amazing just like the one in the story! Now we need to quickly go to a park and hide them before Tracie realises there are five rocks missing from her garden!
Georgia and Fearne Looking For Places to Hide the Stones
The sun is shining, so we’re off out to Stanly Park to hide our lovely Ladybirds now that they are varnished.
Look Up High
Emma thinks the trees are a good place to hide and find the rocks, the girls went off to hide the Ladybirds. Afterwards they looked and found new stones. They found one on a tree stump, another in long grass and the last one up a tree. All three were hidden by someone who is great at painting, we found them behind the COVID centre. Emma put them on the Liverpool Kindness Rocks Facebook page and found out they had only just been hidden that morning.

Tracie is going to take a rock and hide it on Sunday when she goes on her 12 mile cycle ride around Wigan. Wonder if anyone will find it and let us know?
