I have worked in childcare for over thirty years. I have been a Foster Care Parent, a Childminding Network Co-Ordinator and now I work as a Registered Childminder and Childminder Mentor for the Department for Education.
We made some amazing sugar-free waffles for our breakfast! Everyone took it in turns to whisk the eggs until they were light and fluffy. Then we added the wet ingredients into the dry. We used the hand mixer to make the ingredients into a thick batter. Tracie then poured the batter into the waffle maker and cooked until golden brown.
The waffles were absolutely delicious and got a thumbs up from everyone!

Tracie, Hannah, Poppy, Jack and Chloe went on a Christmas holiday trip to the Trafford Centre in Manchester. We had so much fun in Laser Quest being the blue team and Zapping the red team. We had to hide and sneak around to find them and try hard not to get zapped ourselves.
Zapping Each Other!
After our fun in Laser Quest, the children had fun on the interactive climbing wall! Tracie was too worn out to have a go.

In the early hours of Christmas Day while we were all tucked up in bed, Tracie was rudely awoken by the sound of ‘crunch crunch.’
She slowly crept down the stairs, and to her surprise, look who she saw in the front room! It was Rudolf the Reindeer eating all her carrots!!
She carefully took this picture for you all to see, as she knew you would never believe her! Very quietly, Tracie sneaked back to bed before Father Christmas realised she was awake and decided not to fill her stocking!
The children all made amazing bath bombs for their mummies for Christmas. They got to choose the colour, glitter and fragrance. Then they helped Tracie mix the ingredients together, put into moulds and once set, make up the lovely cones.
Back in early spring, all the children sowed sunflower seeds. Most of them grew as tall as five feet! Eliza got a bit impatient waiting so long for her’s to grow and nothing happened! Everyone else’s sunflowers had grown and died, the garden started to look dull until…
This little gem made an appearance!
She’s only three feet tall but perfectly formed and attracting all the wildlife.
This is Bramble our gorgeous Collie. She is eight years old and we have had her since she was a puppy. Having a dog around our setting helps to teach the children how to handle dogs, care for them and we encourage dog safety.
Bramble
This is Fizzy, she’s our moody black cat! She is also eight years old like Bramble. She thinks she’s a dog and growls at everyone! But really she’s a softy.
Fizzy
Now, this is Flora. She is two years old, black and white, and total a whirlwind. She thinks she’s one of the children and loves to play! She’s very nosy, noisy and fun-loving! She joins in with play and games, often nicking the dice or balls we are using. She’s so daft she will let the children walk around with her and dress her up! At story time, she comes and sits on the carpet to listen or curls up on Tracie’s lap while she reads to the children.
Meet Rosie, she’s our timid calico cat. She is two years old and likes to curl up anywhere it’s warm. She watches everything we do but likes to keep out of the way.
